Spot weld bits are extremely short, so you can drill through body welds without digging into adjoining panels.
Depending on your die grinder design, you’ll need either Type 1 flat cutoff wheels or Type 27 depressed center cutoff wheels. The choice comes down to what’s compatible with your grinder’s arbor and guard. Add a couple spare replacement cut off wheel mandrels to your tool kit, and you can easily switch between wheels by removing and installing the entire mandrel and wheel as one unit.
