Toggle anchors allow you to secure objects to an area of wall or ceiling that doesn't have stud support. Each bolt comes with a set of "wings" that help spread the weight of the object across a larger surface, which makes it possible to secure objects to drywall or other wall boards. To install the butterfly anchors, you drill a hole in the wall, pull back the wings, and push the bolt into the hole. Once the wings get into the hollow space, they expand. Pull the bolt back out and the wings catch on the back of the wall. Tighten the bolt down and the installation is complete. Butterfly anchor bolts are useful anywhere you don't have a stud to secure an object to. It's important to select wing anchors that are strong enough for your intended application. They should easily fit into the hollow cavity to allow for their full expansion. Finding the right size butterfly fasteners for your application is easy.
